Our Mission
To strengthen the development and future of information security in general and SABSA specifically by providing access to training and educational opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds to attend SASBA Training Events, COSAC Ireland and COSAC APAC.
Objectives of The SABSA Founders Bursary
- To create and maintain an industry supported program that is both sustainable, and cost effective to provide opportunities for people, at the early stages of their career, to learn from a broad cross section of experienced industry practitioners in an environment that supports them to develop their skills and knowledge as well as the ability to actively participate in industry events in the future.
- Provide fully funded places to attend either SABSA Training Courses or a COSAC event as well as opportunities, at COSAC, to meet and network with senior practitioners and develop mentoring relationships.
- Create and maintain a sustainable Bursary Fund that will build up over ten years and then be capable of sustaining the required financial outlays to provide at least two funded places at COSAC each year.
