The SABSA Founders Bursary had good year in 2025 awarding six places at SABSA training courses and at COSAC.

To date, through 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, the Bursary has now made seventeen (17) awards to young women providing opportunities to broaden their knowledge skills and networks within the Cyber Security industry helping us to build greater diversity in the future.  

The total value of awards made to date is in excess of $50,000. 

These programs have been funded through generous donations made by our supporters, many of whom are COSAC attendees, SABSA Course alumni or both. We are very grateful for their ongoing support.

We currently have sufficient funds to provide at least two COSAC places and two SABSA Course places in 2026 and we aim to see new bursary recipients at both COSAC and COSAC APAC as well as on SABSA Training in the coming year.

We have received excellent feedback from previous awards winners attending both training and COSAC.

Going forward the key dates for 2026 are:

Bursary applications will open on Friday 20 February 2026; and

Bursary applications will close on Friday 13 March 2026 (Midnight BST)
