The SABSA Founders Bursary – Official Launch

I am pleased to announce the official launch of the SABSA Founders Bursary.

The SABSA Founders Bursary was created following COSAC 19 to honour and carry forward the work of the three founders and authors of SABSA: John Sherwood, Andy Clark, and David Lynas and with the return of COSAC 2022 as a fully residential conference we are now able to offer Bursary awards to aspiring young entrants into the Information Security industry.

We have created and funded two Bursary awards for 2022.

One award will provide a fully-funded place at COSAC 2022 in Ireland (2- 6 October 2022) or COSAC APAC 2023 (February 2023) in Melbourne.

The other award will be for a fully funded place at either a SABSA Foundation Training Course or a SABSA Advanced Training.

The Bursary will be targeted towards building gender diversity within the industry which will means that it will be heavily weighted towards, but not exclusive to, women and non-binary applicants. It will also favour applicants who would most benefit from the financial support available.

We expect applications to open on 2 May 2022
